Hello, please can someone help with a RAM problem on a shuttle AV49N MB
The PC initially had 512 mb (2 x 256) P2100 ram running, I upgraded several years ago to an additional 1 gb high density (my error I should have used low density) in total it was 1.5 gb RAM all running OK.
    I have recently purchased 2 x 1 gb Hynix RAM and 1 x 1gb Samsung RAM all at PC3200.
I fitted all 3 sticks expecting it to work. It failed and came up with memory errors.

I then tried using 2 sticks of the PC3200 it ran OK I swapped the different combinations of Hynix and Samsung at it runs OK at 2 gb.
I then and currently using 2 x PC3200 RAM and 1 at PC2100 RAM and the PC runs Ok.
Do I need a BIOS change to run all 3 gb at PC3200. I have run Windows RAM mem checks and individually they work OK. If I run the 2 Hynix and 1 is Samsung 3 gb if fails on memory errors. If I run mem test it fails with all pc3200 at 3 gb
The manual states the maximum capacity is 3gb up to PC3200.

    Any help appreciated .
    Many thanks
    Ray
