Audio and Video Stuttering

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?UmF5YXNpb20=?=, Jun 17, 2007.

  1. Hi All,
I see that this error has come up on the discussions but no solutions.
I have a laptop: Acer TravelMate 2413LCi 1.5GHz with 2Gb Ram and windows XP
    Pro SP2.
My PC had been running fine up until yesterday. Now it seems really slow
with all sounds be they from iTunes or just windows sounds having a bad
stutter to them. If I try and play any video - realplayer or windows media -
it also stutters with the screen freezing then leaping ahead.
I have run all antivirus software (NOD32) and adaware and spybot programs,
but the problem still remains. The only thing I installed recently was Video
Egg which I have since removed.
The only programs that I have spent any time on these past two days has been
    Facebook and Flixter.
Any ideas would be appreciated as it is driving my to distraction now.
    Thanks.

  2. Rayasiom:
You have stumbled into the wrong NG.
This one is for XP x64 and Vista x64.
    Notwithstanding...
If I were you I would try a system restore to say, 2 days ago.
    That should fix it.

  3. Thanks. I saw that after I had posted it and so re-copied it into the
    mediaplayer section.
I will try do a restore and see what happens there.
