I just built 2 systems for the kids and both have the same problem. The 160GB Samsung SATA drive is not being recognized by the system. I have gone into the BIOS and set the IDE settings to Enhanced... still nothing. I've searched all through ASUS' tech forums, but am still coming up empty. I've tested both drives on my system and the drives are good... same with the cables. I can't see both Motherboards being bad, so it must be something I'm doing (or not doing)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Did the system require the addition of a PCI controller card? I ask because I had to do this in my case and I have an ASUS mobo(model A7N8X-X). The SATA cables were then attached from the card to the hard drive.
