A's Yahoo! Mail Nofifier Firefox Extention can not log in

I finally found a viable download link for the yahoo! mail notifier,
    http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info/yahoomailchecker (the
    addons.mozilla.org link fails)
but now it can't log in. I've tried my username all lower case and
camel-capped, and with and without the @yahoo.com specifier. I've
pasted in my password to both the Yahoo! login page and the extension
    to ensure it was correct.
I am always getting this message "invalid username/password
    combination".
Is anyone using this extension successfully? I see that it was changed
once to handle a change in Yahoo's authentication. Has Yahoo! changed
    the authentication again?
    Thanks!

Verify that you are using the proper username and password for the account

Well, it was working. Then it stopped. I pasted the same password into
both the gmail web app and the notifier, so those were the same. This
is the same thing I did with the Yahoo! Mail Notifier.
Maybe it's just a bad week for notifiers.

    Um, what was working?
Please dont snip or edit out replies, it makes providing assistance much
    more of a chore.
The problem is familiar to you (after all it is YOUR problem) but it
    isnt familiar to others.
To re-acquaint myself with the problem, your snipping requires me to
re-read each and every post in the thread, and I simply dont have the
time to do that for the over 1000 posts in various newsgroups I
    participate in.

I hope someone else can assist you

Gmail notifier stopped working for me yesterday as well. "Failed to
login" is the message. I can still login directly to Gmail with the
same login info so I know it is correct.

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

I read gmail notifier extension has just been updated
    (http://www.nexgenmedia.net/extensions/)

With A's yahoo! extension, since a couple of weeks I'm having the same
    problem you're reporting.

I just found this "enhanced" version of A's Yahoo! mail notifier, and it
seems to wrok fine for me.
    Here: http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=3475
    I hope that helps.
