    This from another news group..

"Friday's Daily Variety had an article with Warner Brothers announcing
the Release of Around the World In 80 Days on May 18. It went on to
say that the DVD will be two discs with the three hour movie on one
and extras on the other. They said the movie would be the 1956
roadshow version presented in 2.4:1 ratio. The extras include several
vintage featurettes, trailers, still, publicity material, and the
Premier Special with Elizabeth Taylor hosting for Television at
    Madison Sq. Garden.

The article went to say that Warner Brothers had searched for the past
three years to come up with material that could be used in the
restoration and their competed 65mm restoration was a combination of
several versions from other countries and used both 65mm elements and
35mm elements (not sure is it capable to do this since the 65mm was 30
frames per second and the 35mm was 24 frames, also this the second and
last Todd-AO film to be filmed in both formats. I am sure someone out
    there will know this answer.."
