Are there fill-in questions on the exams?

Can anyone answer if the 70-316, 70-315, 70-320, and 70-300 exams have
fill-ins? In other words is one expected to type-in the exact coding syntax
given a scenario? Or are the exams in multiple question format?

No there is no fill-in type question. To see various types of questions on
    the exams, visit:

Mehran, thank you for the URL. I'm a little relieved Microsoft's Exam
Innovations doesn't include coding questions (code fill-ins). The MCSD.NET
could include a test of coding prowess to filter out programmers that overly
really on IntelliSense, but I'm not quite there yet.

Try taking Sun's SCJP exam. I am an MSCD .NET and I think
that an exam strictly on the language itself and coding is
sorely missing from the .NET certification process.

One thing I've always thought is that the exams should in part be like
the ones for the Microsoft Office Specialist exams. They have
simulations of the actual programs, and when you are given scenarios
to do a certain task, you actually point, click, and use the program
    itself.

As far as strict coding answers, I could see this to an extent,
however at times there are many ways to do the same thing, yet still
satisfy all the requirments of the scenario, so this could be
challenging for the grading engine to score correctly.

I agree. Although the programmer's exam is very easy and the pass mark
for 1.4 just makes me laugh.
