Apple and Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) currently take up to a 30% cut of
the revenue from app sales. Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) wants to go even
further: It wants a piece of the action on any kind of content or
subscription sale made through its apps. Developers face a June 30
deadline to get in compliance, after which apps will no longer be
allowed to link to external sites for purchases.

Old News really, but is it so differnet from anything else.
If I want a market stall I have to pay the ground rent for the area,
it's a fixed charge but still a charge for selling stuff on teh
    pavement.
If Apple are doing all teh credit card stuff and teh advertising and
evertything else why shouldn;t tehy take a cut for doing that. if I
want to seel something ffrom a shop and I want to put an advert in
their window I get charged for teh ad whether I sell or not. Apple are
only taking money from those that actually sell stuff, nothing from
those willing to give it away free.
If wanted to stick an ad on yuor car for my app would you allow that
    free of charge ?
or in your window, or tatoo'd on your body, I realyl don;t see a
    problem.

So besides being a self-proclaimed expert on photography, you're also a
self-proclaimed expert on technology and business?

The retards are Apple's customers and supporters. But that was
    evident 20 years ago.

As publicly traded companies, their only obligation is to their
share-holders. I would guess Rich owns zero shares in either company.

There is vast a difference between marketing and and fraud.

The evil in the derivative selling was the lack of adequate disclosure
of the risks, which made any due diligence by the buyers impossible. If
a buyer makes a purchase without adequate due diligence, the buyer bears
    the consequences.
A large portion of The disclosure fraud committed was that certain
banking institutions failed to disclose that they were taking a short
position in the very same securities they were selling. They were
selling: insured mortgage backed securities. Technically that is what a
buyer received. The buyers never inquired into strength of the insurance
company backing the securities, and more importantly the value of the
    realty securing the obligations.

Come out of your basement and learn the difference.
