Apple App Store Backdown

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Lawrence D'Oliveiro, Nov 2, 2010.

  1. After all the kerfuffle over “Battle For Wesnoth†sometime back, it looks
like Apple has quietly changed some of the terms and conditions in its App
Store: no longer does the wording suggest that it will impose restrictions
on the user that override those of the app’s own licence.

The issue has come up again because another GPL’d app, VLC, is now available
for the i-devices, and one of the contributors seems to be trying to provoke
    a Wesnoth-type takedown
