Another AMD quad core review....

    "With Phenom topping out at just 2.3GHz, clearly Phenom is playing catch
    up to Core 2 in terms of clock speeds. This limits Phenom’s performance
    potential. But based on our gaming benchmarks today, it also looks like
    they’re behind in IPC as well: at equal clock speeds Core 2 generally
    ran faster than Phenom."

    So even if the phantom can ramp up its clock, it is not going to beat
    Intel's unless it exceeds Intel's (clock)....and I can so see that
    happening.....

    Don't write them off just yet. Intel are plainly worried:

    I dont think so, probably before some Intel people started reading the
    on-line articles....this CPU had to be in the works a few months ago....
