Hi- I've been downloading my 8mm video tapes from my analogue Sony Camcorder to DVD-R using my JVC DR-M70 DVD Video Recorder, with limited success. Some tapes record and finalize without problems; some record but do not finalize; but more than half of the DVD's return a message "Recording Error- Can not record on this disc E4 54044400". I spoke to a retailer who said the problem was with the Analogue to Digital conversion within the DVD recorder, but I think it might be the quality of the DVDs (Memorex).

Is there a problem with converting analogue to digital? What other suggestions would you have?

    Thanks,
    Craig
