I am looking for an inexspensive video card upgrade for an older P3
computer which has an AGP slot but during my search I have encountered
cards that list system reqirements calling for AGP 2.0 or 3.0 slots.
What is the easiest way to determine which type AGP slot I have?

They also talk about 2x, 4x, and 8x support so how would I find out
which level "x" my board supports and will most 8x cards work in a 2x
    or 4x AGP slot?

    Thanks

Find the model of the motherboard, find the manufacturer's website and,
find the model of the board on the website.
