Luminous-Landscape.com has a wealth of info on Lightroom:

    Here's a LL.com search result:

There are other sites...but LL has some great and helpful info.

  2. Why wait for someone elses opinion. Download the trial and try it out. Only
you can decided if it does what you want how you want to do it.

I'm an average recreational digital photographer who is still looking
for THE all-in-one solution for cataloging, editing, printing, etc.
(Not so interested in posting pix to the Web). I find PS Elements a bit
cumbersome in its implementation, and wonder whether Adobe Lightroom
would be worthwhile instead. (I don't mind spending the extra $$$ if
    it's worthwhile).

My current camera is a Panasonic FZ7 which does not shoot RAW, and I
know that Lightroom is capable of processing RAW images, so I'm not sure
if Lightroom would be right for me. It's possible that I'd upgrade to a
DSLR or another super-zoom P&S in the foreseeable future, if my skillset
    advances enough.

Can anyone either comment on whether Lightroom might fit my needs and/or
point me to a good online review of Lightroom?

    Thanks!

Lightroom is good stuff. I've been using it since the first beta and
I love it. They've done a great job with the viewing and editing
features (though you might still want to use Photoshop for certain
fine-tuning) and the collections/cataloging is nice as well. But
whether it suits YOUR needs is up to you. As someone else said, you
should check out the trial, which is a full-blown version that lasts
30 days. I would recommend messing around with all the features
multiple times as there are quite a few tiny features here and there
that you might not pick up on, realize, right away.
