ACLS for a folder and all subfolders and files (effective rights).

I am digging into command line tools and I would like to find out if this
can be done. I am wanting to get the effective rights for a user in part of
my directory tree. I know with Cacls I can list everyone's rights but I want
to limit it to a user. The kicker is that the user has no explicit rights as
he is a member of several groups which grant him rights. Is there a command
line tool which I can use to display or print this to file?

    Thanks
    Rick
