    Hi,

I don't find documents to train to simulations (70-290). Could you help
    me ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hervé,

The simulations training is simple... Install Windows Server 2003 Standard,
and play. That is the long and the short of it. Simulations are just
that - simulations of the actual environment. Because of that they are in
fact much easier than the other questions, as long as you have done your
    homework.

    Good luck!

    M

  4. That's exactly it, set a server up! I'd play with the following in
    particular:
    - Set up IIS: host multiple websites and virtual directories, back them up
and restore them from within IIS
    - Know NTBackup: Make and schedule multiple backup-jobs, and ASR Backup, and
just the SystemState Data, then restore them
    - Use AD Users & Computers: Setup new accounts, add them to Groups,
configure their roaming profiles, change Group types and scopes
    - Create Folders and Shares and assign permissions: Use explorer and/or
Computer Management, add multiple shares with different permissions for the
    same Folder
    - Play with Perfmon: Set up performance logs with different counters, and
    trigger it from an Alert

And don't forget, in Windows there is usually more than one way to get a
task done, so don't get flusterred if the first way you try on a Sim doesn't
work, just use a different way. For example: Can't create a virtual
directory in IIS, try right-clicking on the Folder and check out the
    Web-Sharing Tab.

The more hands-on you get, and the more different ways you know to get a
task done, the easier the simulations are. I really enjoy training the MCSE
now, because the focus is just on setting up real live situations and
configuring them on a server. Most of all have fun with it :)
