I have not had any luck setting up a computer to route IP from one network
to another. I installed w2k server on a machine with two NICs. I set up RRAS
to route, both interfaces show up, routing table has entries for both
networks. From the machine itself I can ping computers on either network.
I cannot seem to get it to actually route, e.g. I cannot ping from a machine
on one network to a machine on the other.
When I run ipconfig /all it shows IP routing enabled.
Is there a trick to this? I noticed that is a registry entry for IProuting
enabled which was 0 -- I changed that to 1 but it had no effect.
The computer used as router was running other services (DNS DHCP) and was
domain controller. I will try it without other things running on the machine
as I have read about problems for multihomed domain controller.
I tried various configuration options, e.g. default gateway/DNS.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    one other thought
both networks need to have routing entries about each other
    A-router-B
I think I may have set up so that A had the router's NIC as its default
gateway but on the original B network there was no mention of network A
