4R photo format

    I have the Olympus E10 and the pics taken are in 4:3 ratio. When I send the
    pics to the studio to develop, all the pics had to be trimmed to the 4R size
    (ie 6" x 4" ratio).

    Wonder any way to take pic directly in the 4R ratio and why are pics taken
    by most digital camera in 4:3 format (TV format).

    Club Photo offers "4xD" prints... that is 4" by 5 1/3", which is the
    full-frame ratio of your Olympus camera.

    The 4/3 ratio is the common ratio of TV's and computer monitors. Most early
    digital cameras were for use with these output devices, not 4x6 prints.
