at one of my remote locations, there are so few workstations that I cannot
    justify a server

I therefore run DHCP from the frame relay router that is there. I was
curious as to why when I do a "sho dhcp leases", well nothing shows up but I
know the router is giving ip addresses. what gives?

I think the command you wanted is "show ip dhcp binding". I think the
"show dhcp leases" is for your router's interfaces gettinng an dhcp
    address from a server.
