I just received 10 new auto updates for Win XP Pro. Dose this mean
that XP is now out of the Beta stage and a final release will be out
soon? <g> Am I safe now?

It's like Sarah Palin says "Oh shucks, a good Republican should NEVER put
your cheat sheet notes on your joint-rolling hand. And you should always
leave your moose-shooting hand free. Vote for me because I'm so pretty."

You should continue your subscriptions with the Microsoft groups and help
them develop OS efficiencies as well as patch security flaws. It's the
least you can do for all of humanity.

You will remain safe as long as you stay home, away from outside windows
    and most electrical devices.

I could help you with that... but...

I got 10 also, and they say security updates, so I guess it must be
    safe now.

I hope so, wouldn't want to cause any contamination problems as it is
about to go in the trash. <g>

I have set updates to be applied automatically and have had no
    problems.

AAMOI the mainframe OS I worked on until I retired is about 30 years
old, rock solid, bug free, 100% secure, but still being updated. XP is
    just a baby!
