Titan Cooling Devices also known as Titan, have some of the top air coolers out on the market, though they don't only make air coolers. Titan previously sent me a Water Cooler, the Titan Bianca, and it cooled very well for a low cost Water Cooler. Titan have decided this time to go for a Massive cooler, one not only for performance but style. The R&D department at Titan took the idea of a Water Cooler, and made it a Water Case. They blessed it and called it the Titan Robela, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the TWC-A88/BS model.


The Robela weighs in at 22kg packed, astonishingly only 1/3 of that is the Massive Radiator. The Robela comes in a nicely coloured box with the character to represent the product. Titan like to make characters for all their products. In the picture below, you can see 2x80mm fans are no match for the size of the box.

What you get

You get everything you need to set this case and cooler up and start it water cooling. I will list the main stuff you get packed with the chassis.

  • The case
  • Side panels including water pump and fans/radiator
  • Front panel LCD with alarms, meters (DbA sensor, temperature sensor, etc.)
  • Sensor wires
  • All the screws required for mounting
  • Tool free PCI, HDD and CD Drive
  • Water Blocks (GPU and CPU)
  • All brackets for Water Blocks (All sockets for CPU and all Cards for GPU except 7800GTX)
  • Ram sinks for your video card (Fits DDR and GDDR3)

The Water Case

This case is very stylish, not to mention the chrome effect on the cover for the radiator and the chrome on the front panel. This case has been uniquely designed for style, though the chrome will get dirty. The case has a lot of features. Such as front panel USB's, Audio and Fire wire. Though it does include some of the coolest tool free devices, but the PCI tool free does get in the way when mounting cards. Out of all the features in this case, some prove unless, and some are simply very useful. For instance the Chassis Intrusion, yes it is a good idea, but how are you supposed to unlock the case without the key? Let alone get the side panel off. Though its just another safety precaution. Here are some of features.

The inside of the case it is very roomy, even a Normal ATX motherboard has room to breath a 120mm fan between the board and the 5 1/2" cage.

The LCD Panel.

The case has a built in LCD, connected to the front panel. It shows temperature according to the sensor probe (included). DbA sensor (included) which reads from 0 to 99 other wise it states the sound is too high. It powers two fans and can read there speed. One cool thing about the LCD is it reads the Water flow and speed of the pump.

The Water Cooler.

The water cooler is massive, much bigger then the Titan Bianca by far. It has 2x120mm fans. and it is possible to mount another two 120mm beside the others..

The pump is a considerable improvement from the pump used in the Titan Bianca, and the reservoir is huge, you require 2 Anti Freeze Liquid containers to fill this cooler up.

The water cooler works in a cycle of.

Reservoir >> Pump >> Water Block(s) >> Radiator >> Reservoir


Well installing the cooler is pretty straight forward. Install all your gear into the case. except heat sinks on the GPU or CPU or GPU & CPU. Make sure you apply thermal paste. Pull the video card out and mount the cooler and ram sinks onto it, then slot it back in. Make sure you apply thermal paste. And then place the CPU water block and secure it with the correct bracket, with Intel Boards you will have to connect it all up outside the case and then screw it back in.

Test Results

Test results were controlled under 17C temperatures.

  • All fans were at full (Including side fans on Robela cooler)
  • CPU Core was rated at 67 Watts (According to
  • Idle and Load tests were run for 40 minutes (Gaming and 3DMark05 used for load)

To work out how effective this cooler will be with your CPU, get the wattage rating for your CPU (for AMD's the wattage * C/W = CPU temp - Ambient Temp

This case really looks deep into what it takes to run a good water cooler. The water cooler mounted to the side of this case shares the same air as the air coolers inside the case. The performance difference shows how much power a water cooler has over a Passive Air Cooler.

Though this isn't just all about the cooler its about the case and some of the neat features included. The LCD, the Tool free its got everything. except a coffee warmer (hmmm... I don't think that would overly help cooling). Though fan controlling could have used some work, because there isn't a fan controller.

The case is absolutely silent when running at normal activities.

Cons (-):

  • Heavy

  • Expensive

  • Alarms and sensors, no control

  • PCI expansion tool free gets in the way, but can be removed

  • Water Flow indicator is hidden
