Introduction
In our hands today for review is the new Thermaltake DH-101. The DH-101 is a HTPC chassis from the Thermaltake Digital Home series of chassis’. This is the medium range of the series from Thermaltake’s Digital Home chassis’.
Exterior
The case is made from a steel interior with a brushed Aluminium face plate. The side panels and top panel is one unit, they are coated in a black piano finish, and base interior of the chassis is also coated in the same colour and finished the same way.
The chassis has ventilation on the left and right side panels, and also on the top directly above the CPU and video card areas. The ventilation is very large and provides a very large flow of air. This ventilation compliments the fan in the front of the case, and because of the front fans position the ventilation is the major flow contributor.
The front of the chassis is elegant, with the LCD display on the left and the Media Kit controls on the right. The Front IO connectors are located at the centre bottom underneath a small flap. The power button is located on the bottom left with the power LED inside it. The HDD activity LED is located on the bottom right. There is no reset button.
The chassis comes with a Media Kit which is part of the LCD and controls on the front of the chassis. This includes the Software and an IR Remote and a Quick Installation guide. The Chassis extras include a packet of screws, a tac cloth (to clean down the chassis’ piano finish), manual and a Key 3 Spirit information guide and Sticker.
