Hello just bought a Cisco 7940 ip phone from ebay a few days ago it currently has app load ID P00308000100 and boot load id PC0303010100 i am trying to get it to work with my asterisk system that i have created in Virtual box using asterisk now 2..0.2 i don't know how to configure the phone to use Sip i have been looking on the net and youtube for easy steps to converting the phone over to use sip but with no luck. if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
i don't have a Cisco smartnet account and don't have the sip firmware files for the phone the Mac is 0011920E1782
the asterisk is on 192.168.101.15
from what i see on the net its using SCCP firmware
