Description:
The Business Applications and Data Support Analyst within Information Technology supports change and problem management, application and configurationmanagement and production support of our suite of business applications and customer web sites ensuring that the systems and data are accurate and available in a 24x7-operating environment. This job requires gaining a strongworking knowledge of business applications as well as a strong understanding of how business users could utilize or adapt the software to support their areas of responsibility. This is a hands on position requiring both leadership and technical problem solving skills.
Job Description:
Work directly with project managers and technicians in support of data network creation of the FTTP OLT Build and LAG Circuit Bundling projects. Partner with PM’s to understand priorities and subsequently work back with technicians to perform test and acceptance as needed. Perform upfront configuration verification and troubleshoot all issues to resolution. Although shift will generally be on day tour, position may require working nights (12am-8am) depending on work volumes. On call support my also be required for project support.
Required Skills:
• High level knowledge of network, system, technical, process/ procedure,network architecture, and project support, including project management, as related to FTTP, and telecommunications equipment installation and deployment.
• Adept at identifying underlying causes of complex problems, isolating the issues, and providing the know-how and leadership required to effectively resolve the problems as the relate to point to point fiber optic circuits
• Knowledge of Layers 1, 2 and 3 for network problems on newly-installed FTTP network elements, customer-facing network devices, switches, routers.
• Adept with automation systems as they relate to the telecom industry
• Must have excellent inter-personal skills.
• Must have excellent organizational skills.
• Requires 5-10 yrs experience.
