You are right that almost no site names C++ to be most popular language. Sometimes it feels to be the most hated and cursed programming language.

If to look at lot of such statistic sites then in average most of them say
that C#, Java, PHP and Javascript are currently more used than C++. Python, C and Objective-C are usually listed as less used than C++ but not by much.
