When I tried one in the store I held it to my ear and switched it on
and off. I thought I could hear a very faint hum, until I realised
the camera was switched off at that point.
It's just another of those non-problems that people on DPReview forums
love to obsess about. If any of them actually used cameras to take
pictures they would have far less time to obsess about non-problems
with equipment they have never used, touched or seen.
