use audio device to play recieved partial audio data

Is it possible to pass buffered data to the local audio device just as
it is possible to use
playsound to play a file? How?
Can someone help, thanks. Similarly, can one capture data using
microphone etc
thanks. This is from the context of a web browser without anything else
available or loaded.
