cross browser image fade-in?

Hi. Can someone point me to a script, that will make an image fade-in as
the page loads?

Been looking for one on google. Found a few, but none that would work in
firefox.

You can make an animated gif that doesn't loop, and make it fade in.
Depending on your graphic, it works well.
