Printing from Mozilla

What controls the font size when printing from Mozilla? I am using
Linux Mandrake 10 and Mozilla 1.6. My print copies have fonts much too
large. The font selection in the preference menu seems to control only
the on-screen font size.
I don't have this problem with the Gnome browser (Epiphany).
