I use firefox 0.8 on my XP Pro SP2 RC1 machine. I really prefer it over IE.
However, there are websites where the menus don't work, where they do in IE.
They also don't work in Netscape 7.1 so I guess it's a mozilla issue. I'm no
computer guy so I really can't describe the problem exhaustively. Under
firefox or netscape, I get is a "javascript
:void("):" message in the status
bar whenever I do a mouseover over the menus I want opened. In IE, doing
this gets me to the new page.
Another question(s). Which java virtual machine does firefox use? I have Sun
java 1.4.02_04 installed in my PC but there is no choice for firefox in the
Browser settings tab. The "Mozilla 1.1 or later" box can't be checked
either. The applet returns a "Unable to change Browser Settings" error.
Happens even when I reinstalled firefox after the Sun java installation and
vice versa.
Thanks in advance!
