One, indeed, that can fix some of the problems her existing 'computer man' can't - for example in another thread, it sounds to me like her screen resolution is running non-native (jeez that must look horrible). Possibly the old vid card doesn't support the new monitor? (something the 'computer man' clearly didn't think of at the time when the new monitor was purchased?). (Looking in my box of bits, I see a Gigabyte GA-622-32C - happy to post to Auckland (untested) - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product- page.aspx?pid=1117). And while at it, show her how easy it is to remove Trend-Micro, install MSE (ignorning Woger's crapmark (TM) of course) - and how easy that runs and updates, and of course, is FREE. Noting the PC boots quicker, probably runs faster too. Advising of course, that one can easily go back to TM if she's in love with it that much! -- Duncan. |

This Geopelia person Does not take any advice from people here and he has No understanding about Virus program, this subject has been around this bush more times that I can remember. Yes, and I believe that is soley because they needed no power for people that didnt have solutions to operate when the grid goes down. I do to a degree, with a small generator to charge my mobile, the network stayed up very well and you never hear from the many people that lost PSTN when the cables were damaged with a massive long repair timeframe. |
