Dear Friends

I wish you are fine ..... I have a problem regrading AVAYA IP Phone 1608 .... I configure my Cisco router as DHCP server for 1608 .... The configuration provide the phone with basic IP information .... In my network i have 2 gatekeepers with the primary has IP address 192.168.1.171 & the secondary has IP address 192.168.172 ... I add option 242 to my DHCP configuration and then add the primary and secondary gatekeepers .... The phone can register successfully with primary gatekeeper .... But when the primary gatekeepers is not availabe, The 1608 can't register with secondary gatekeeper and what appears on phone screen "Discovering 192.168.1.171" .... Here is my configuration:

ip dhcp pool VOIP
network 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.1.243
option 242 ascii "MCIPADD=192.168.1.171,192.168.1.172,MCPORT=17 19,H TTPSRVR=192.168.1.171"

Does the 1608 support redundant gatekeepers ?????

Can anyone help ???

Thanks in advance
