When composing email, there is "Insert" on the toolbar. Click on this, then click "Link." You can then use a one word (or more) name for the link when you copy the link into the second dialog box. Firefox, as a browser doesnt send mail, but it allows you to choose what mail program you wish. You can use almost any email program you want to, thats the advantage of the Firefox modular design. Optionally you can download and use the WebMailCompose extension, which gives you Send Link Send Page items To send a link (even without the extension) simply copy the link and paste it into your email message. Firefox currently has no means of ascertaining if your email program of choice is Send Page capable. -- Mozilla Champion UFAQ - http://www.UFAQ.org Mozilla Champions - http://mozillachampions.mozdev.org Mozilla Manual - http://mozmanual.mozdev.org/ |

Actually, FireFox has a 'send link' option right under 'File' on the menu, or you can, alternately, right-click anywhere on the page and select 'Send Link' and it will open whatever Email App you have selected as your default. No, you can't 'Send Page', but, honestly, it's usually not really smart to send an entire webpage to someone via email anyway...lots of java and flash and such... But sending a link takes one press of a button. Drude |
