Default Mozilla problems. Help!

I'm using Mozilla version 1.4, and am having a problem. Embedded mp3s' do
not play automatically. That is, if the html page is coded with <embed src
= whatever.mp3> Mozilla keeps telling me CLICK HERE FOR PLUGIN. Well, I've
downloaded and installed WinAmp about 3 times now, and I keep getting the
same results. Actually, under Internet Explorer 6, Windows Media Player 9
automatically clicks in to play the mp3, and although I have WMP 9
isntalled, Mozilla won't launch that, either.

Well, that's interesting, if disappointing.
Thanks, Konrad.

Well, I'm seeing everywhere on the web that EMBED SRC should work with
Mozilla. So I'm not sold on that W3C restriction. Embedded mpg's.,
wav's, and mp3's won't play on my Windows XP machine. Very frustrating.
