I've installed Mozilla 1.4 on my rh9, but when I open few tabs and each
tab tries to download the page, mozilla shutdown (without any message)! When I have Mozilla 1.3.0, in the shell: $ rpm -q mozilla mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_xft (yes I have updated to rh9) so I have uninstalled everything about xft (mozilla-nss, nspr, chat, ....), but I was not able to uninstall mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 even if the installation was fine, and now: $ rpm -q mozilla mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 mozilla-1.4-0 so I think that the problem is the old mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2. Thanks for every advice, regards Marcello. Marcello |

Was there an error message of rpm, and if so what did it say? > installation was fine, and now: > $ rpm -q mozilla > mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 > mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 > mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_gtk2 > mozilla-1.4-0 Where there no replacements for rh9 for these rpm's? I have no experience with mozilla and gtk, but I often upgraded mozilla using rpm. Mostly by the command rpm -Fvh mozilla*.rpm (or -Uvh when installing a new part) Never had troubles with the mozilla rpm's... solved a lot of other rpm troubles with other progs dough. Need some more info to diagnose your problem... Dries. |
