Concurrent webservice connections to remote machine

Hello,

I'm planning a web application in asp.net which interacts with some
webservices.
The webservices are not on the same machine. They ar located on a secured
sub domain. I know, that when the service is on the same machine with the web
application, the webservice proxy, is not restricted on two concurrent
service calls. But how many connections can be done, when the service is
hosted on a remote machine? How can I switch from two concurrent connections
to unlimeted connections to a remote endpoint?
Any help or suggestions will be great!

Thanks and regards,
Frank
