Difference between VB.NET and ASP.NET for Web Service

Hi

I am a VB6 programmer and I'm learning how to create Web Service program. I
read a few books on Web Service. It seem like most of them using ASP.NET.
How can I create Web Service program for VB.NET. There are the differences
between them. If I create a Web Service using VB.NET, do I have to install
my program on every clients computer in order to access the Web Service.
