This isn't a wireless problem per se; it is a networking problem. Here are links to help you. I would suggest starting with the first link which is a network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna. If you take the time to go through the troubleshooter carefully, it will pinpoint the problem area(s): http://www.michna.com/kb/wxnet.htm http://www.practicallynetworked.com/...ilesharing.htm (Home) http://www.practicallynetworked.com/...ring/index.htm (Pro) http://www.practicallynetworked.com/...hoot_index.htm http://www.bcmaven.com/networking/faq.htm http://www.bcmaven.com/networking/myths.htm Malke -- MS-MVP Windows User/Shell Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic" Malke |

Can each machine access the other now? If so, re-enable the firewalls, then under Firewall > Exceptions tab > select File & Printer Sharing, then Edit and then Change Scope; add here the IP address of each machine to the other to enable access through the firewall. __spc__ |

'... is not accessible and i do not have permission' is a typical
message caused by firewalls. You can test whether or not firewalls are causing the problem by temporarily turning them all off. Don't forget to turn them all back on after the short test. Of course, if the firewall is the problem, you will need to configure it. If you use the Norton Internet Security Firewall instead of the Windows Firewall, screenshots of the areas in Norton Internet Security that need to be configured are at http://screenshots.leeindy.com/nis_p...tworking.shtml and http://screenshots.leeindy.com/nis_p...-general.shtml Run the Home Network Setup Wizard found in Norton Internet Security on the Networking tab (Wizard button at bottom right). The Home Network Setup Wizard will add your nic to the trusted zone. Webbie |

make sure you have right clicked on the drives you want to share and that
sharing is enabled. Then make sure both computers have the same network name.
