treeview images not found

Whatever imageset I select for my treview control, the images are not found
when I view the page in the client.

The image path is showing as
http://localhost/portSys/WebResource.axd?d=3Lf1s9yl.......

The treeview is in the content of a masterpage.

The collapse image shows alright in the designer. Am I just not doing
something obvious or is there something else that I need to have done to
enable this facility?
