Icy Box launches 1.8” & 2.5” alloy external enclosure
With the launch of the new 1.8” HDD by Toshiba and other leading HDD manufacturers, comes the Icy Box 1.8” external enclosure, IB181U-T. It is made from light alloy, incased with black leather, incorporating a touch of elegance and sophistication. The IB181U-T weights in at just 127grams and measures 22x118x70 mm revolutionising the portable storage market.
With its ability to self power through USB, no external power supply is necessary, adding further emphasis to portability and freedom to carrying electronic files. In terms of data transfer simply plug and play the Y type USB extension cable embedded in the enclosure to either PC or Apple Mac and you are ready to backup & access important data. With transfer rates up to 480 Mbit/s via USB 2.0 (USB1.1 backward compatible), transfer speed is no longer an issue.
The Icy Box 1.8” enclosure has been launched to primarily target laptop and business users, who require the freedom to work from either home or office. The sheer compact size and weight of the IB181U-T along with its unique style will no doubt draw attention and admiration from friends and colleagues.
