Using Desktop Wireless Adapter as Clone of Wireless Router?

Posts: n/a
Is it possible to use the Wireless Adapter in a network wired Desktop
PC in another part of the home as a clone of the Wireless router in
order to extend the network and provide more coverage to all parts of
the house?

Would it be possible to set it up with the exact same network settings
and same WPA key or would that not work? If not then I guess setting
it up as a second wireless device is the next best alternative so
other devices within the home will connect to whichever is turned on
and has the strongest signal?

Thanks for any input on this.
