Hello guys,

Laptop is: pcg 381m sony

So all of a sudden like 2months ago when adjusting the tilt of the screen the back lighting failed... I think that is what it would be called, I mean if you peer in carefully enough you can see light colours still but it is mainly black...

Turns out if I close the lid and then wait for it to go to sleep and then open it the screen kicks in again...

Anyway recently it is getting worse, the slightest movement will kill if sometimes. More recently still upon 1st boot, for the 1st 3m the screen will flicker and fail.. then I close the lid, it does it again once or twice more before it is ok-until i jar or knock it.

What is this absurdity? Loose connection at the back? Dont feel like it? Any fix? Known problem? (hard to google for sure!)

hope someone cleverer than me might have a clue, I don't have much to offer by a way of payment... Maybe a good recipe for dinner?
