I'm planning on ordering two 4 GB stick of RAM to upgrade the total in
my A505 to 8GB. I'd also like to upgrade the 500GB 5400 RPM drive to a
larger 640GB or 750GB HDD spinning at a faster 7200 or even 10,000
RPMs. So I took off the covers on the underside of my laptop to
familiarize myself with the procedure. I snapped some pictures of the
process and made a quick guide for my future self and anyone who might
want to do the same thing.

It should be the same procedure for similar Toshiba Satellite laptops
such as the A205, A215, A300, A305, A355, A500, A660, or A665 series.

Just be sure to discharge your static electricity or wear an anti-
static wrist strap before touching your hard drive or RAM.
