For one, android is a cell phone and uses applications to do anything.
Ipad and other similar items are full fledged computers.
Although both can connect to the internet, you can't really compare the two
and say one is better than the other. That depends on your needs.

Android is a Linux based OS that runs on smart phones.

The iPad uses the iPhone OS, but doesn't make phone calls. It
uses applications to do anything, just as other computers do.
