I suppose you’ve heard about an Australian court banning the PSJailbreak
hack for Sony’s Playstation 3.
No sooner had the ban come down, than the code was released as Open Source.
First there was PSGroove, which enabled the running of unsigned games but
not copied ones <http://github.com/psgroove/psgroove>. But of course someone
else has reversed the patch that disallowed running of game copies
<http://github.com/openpsjailbreak/OpenPSJailbreak>. And in case you didn’t
get the message, the readme contains this:
This software is intended to enable piracy, and such features have been
re-enabled. This software also intends to allow the execution of
unsigned third-party apps and games on the PS3.
