My dell laptop with a pro intell wireless LAN disconnects often when you try
and load something. There is no particular pattern, it just drops off sometimes when signal strength is perfect (draytek router) its highly annoying. Ive adjusted the firewall settings and even turned firewall off but it still disconnects and i have to repair the connection, HELP! =?Utf-8?B?bWNrNjg0?= |

Do you by any chance have your SSID turn off on the router?

Or on the laptop do you have under Authentication in connection properties
IEEE 802.1x enabled? If so uncheck this. -- David {MVP} Microsoft Mobile Devices Mobile AntiVirus Researchers Association Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us... What about the box just underneath the IEEE 802.1x ? Is that one supposed to
be unchecked as well? -- brentromero "David {MVP}" wrote: > Or on the laptop do you have under Authentication in connection properties > IEEE 802.1x enabled? In almost all system I have seen if the IEEE 802.1x is unchecked every thing
below it and that is part of it is disabled as well, (grayed out). As such it really doesn't matter if it is checked or unchecked. Most home users do not have access to the required server to enable IEEE 802.1x. Without the server, you will get disconnects, when the computer can not get authorized and gives up trying. -- David {MVP} Microsoft Mobile Devices Mobile AntiVirus Researchers Association Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
