got some ages back from Miter 10 Mega (105 watt ones)

Anyway, they dont sell them anymore, and I want to get some more for
another place I am setting up for some work.

Anyone know a source of them? At $25 they were cheaper than a fluro
fitting and take up less space so are better all round.

Try electrical wholesalers like Mastertrade, Corys etc. They do retail
cash sales although you will pay more than sparkies pay.

If in Wellington try 'The Light Bulb Man' Boulcott St at top of
Plimmer Steps or Waione St Petone. They even have overhead projector
bulbs.

Not in wellington but may give them a call tomorrow.

There is a lighting place in glenfield that wasnt really any help. Since
the ones miter 10 had were branded basix which was their house brand I
am guessing that someone imported them for them.

Annoying thing is there are a crapload of them on the china export sites
like alibaba etc, dont seem to be anyone really importing them. I guess
most factorys etc go for the larger halide highbay lights rather than CFLs

I too got one and wished at time I'd got more. Our local M10 said they
wee not expecting more ( last year about June) when asked. I think the
infamous Switched on Gardner had them for awhile (sog.co.nz) if they are
still trading....

The really big "CFL" lamps contain two 4" long tubes.

Have you considered getting one of those?

Yes. The Mitre10ones were much cheaper on a per watt ratio etc. I'm
using U tube flouros ATM but they do cost to replace and usually dont
have ability to chuck them in places to replace incad lights as these
just fitted right in.
