both computers can connect to the net, but not to each other

Hi all. I have an ethernet wireless connection. I hooked up the cable to my
new dlink DI-524c router. I have a pc hard wired to the router, and connect
via a wireless laptop. I can connect to the net with both, but i cannot
connect pc to laptop. Iping them, and there reply...what is wrong?
Need help.
