In Task manager, processes tab, do you see any program running that may have
a hold of the drive preventing it from being disengaged? Otherwise, what you
could try is to logon in Safe Mode and attempt to remove from there, then
logon normally. If you can find the offending process, see if ti is needed
or if it can be uninstalled so you don't have the issue again.
