Python - extracting info from media files |

I would like to extract some simple info from media files, such as
size, resolution, duration, codec. What's the simplest way to do it? Once in a time there was pymedia but I see the latest release is of February 2006. The solution should work on Linux and provide support for a large set of video formats. Michele Simionato |

MediaInfo is your best bet. http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
