Predicted to take close to a third of netbook sales this year, as opposed to
a quarter last year <http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9140343/Linux_s_share_of_netbooks_surging_not_sagging_says _analyst>. And don’t forget, netbooks are the only sector of the PC hardware market still showing growth. Lawrence D'Oliveiro |

Here's an interview <http://www.linuxfordevices.com/c/a/News/ABI-netbook-study-with-Jeffrey-Orr-interview/?kc=rss> with ABI where they clarify that they're NOT counting machines sold with a Windows preinstallation that is wiped and replaced with Linux ("probably only a couple of percentage points") or dual-boot things like Android. They're specifically talking about machines which ship with Linux preinstalled as the primary OS. Turns out this is mainly Ubuntu. Oh, and they expect ARM to account of 4% of netbook sales this year.
