Installed by whom? How? For what purpose? Why is your shift key broken?

A quick Google (All I'm prepared to do because you can't be arsed to
provide much information) reveals this

Why reply then? You obviously don't know that most laptops have a hidden
partition installed by the manufacturer with a C: drive partition image on
it.
The OP needs to have run the "Acer eRecovery Management " software that came
in his original windows installation to have a backup drive image CD or DVD
of his C: Drive.
See here:
http://en.kioskea.net/faq/sujet-2040...alt-f10-or-f10
if he has not done this.

Not all of them. And you may be right to assume that was the case with
this one but there was no evidence to the fact in the original post so...

If you had read a few more posts before leaping to the attack you would
have discovered that the OP doesn't have the disks.......

If you had bothered to read the link I gave the OP, it provides the ALT +
F10 option to start recovery WITHOUT the CD's.

Indeed. Most but not all. Not safe to assume that this mysterious hidden
partition *is* the restore partition.

You keep on assuming and guessing old son, a lot of the time you'll get
it right, sometimes you'll fall flat on your face. I'll gather the facts
first.

I'm aware of that. However, I'm getting paid to do other stuff and not
scracthing my arse reading other peoples links and replying in depth to
people who can't be arsed to write a proper question or provide information.

On the contrary, if you knew anything about modern branded notebooks you
would not be talking so much horse **** about mysterious hidden partitions
and such. I did not assume anything, I knew something you showed your
ignorance of and you started leading the OP into a pointless Q&A session.

I have no idea what your particular personal problem is that you feel
the need to attack other people through the anonimity of the Internet
but go ahead and have fun alienating people. DILLIGAF?
